A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet

One of the joys of pregnancy as i lie in bed my brain doesn't shut off. as i'm laying in bed tonight sore from over doing it in the yard i'm thinking of this baby and the chance it is a lil girl, and what name would be fitting. When i first got pregnant w. my oldest i played w. my hubbies names and mine. dh's name is Dayton from there we got Dayson. My given name is Leslie from there i really liked the name Teslie. but after 4 yrs its kinda lost its spark i still like it but i can think of many strong women that have had so much influence in my life to name her after.

I have a friend right now in remission for cancer but in order to get her there she ended up w. something wrong w. her blood. This is her 2nd run w. cancer at 26. she had a tumor when in high school, as well as anorexia and bulimia and other trials in her young life, and yet she is the most giving women and happy go lucky always up for anything. Her name is Kellie Laura Mackenzie. we played basketball together and we have been there for ea. other since 8th grade. i can proudly say she one friend i can't get rid of lol. we have kept in touch and talked at least monthly since 8th grade no matter where life has taken us. My lil girl would be lucky to have her name. and if i'm lucky to be a fighter just like her

I have another friend who has amazing dreams. She is so strong and her spirit is amazing. She is defiantly a daughter of god and you can see it in her countenance. i've been friends w. her Since 9th grade and she has been such an example to me, she had kept me grounded and yet is so fun to be around and a good listener. Her name is Chelsie Anne. If my daughter is able to dream and love like her she will be one amazing women

The most amazing thing has happened to me in the last month. I have this childhood friend who was like my sister. We did everything together. we moved when i was going in to 7th grade and i don't know why but we lost touch. i think she moved shortly after i did. i've always wondered about her in my heart and have tried numerous times to find her w. no avail. well the lord must of known i needed to know what had happened to her cause she found me. My first sister in a womanhood i've been so lucky to have known. Now i know more about her and that she is happy. i always worried about her. i dont' know why. but i'm so lucky to get to know her again and to share in her happiness. my lil girl would be lucky to be named Leah after this strong women.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of amazing ppl i'm encountered and it doesn't even include the women in my family. Who have shaped the women i am today.

My mom has that quite whining and go get what you want attitude. She always asks me why i wait for someone else to do it i'm not helpless. and it so true i'm a capable women that she brought me up to be. she has also stood behind me no matter what i decide where i want to go or who i want to be. she has given me that confidence taht i can do anything.
She taught to take care of myself, that i'm not superwomen, things don't happen overnight but that i can do it w. patience and hard work

There is also my MIL. a mother of 10 kids 36 grandkids. she will do anything for anyone, w. out judgment. she is a safe haven. To love unconditionally and accept. Her endless love extends beyond her family to everyone she meets. She sees the good in all

There is also gmas, aunts, and sil that where ea. amazing women in there own rights. That helped me become the women i am and set the example for the women i want to be. so this is where my problem starts all these amazing women to name my daughter after and yet if i named her after them all she would hate me for sure. No matter what her name is i hope that the fragment I've taken from ea. of these women i can pass on to my daughter that she may be a daughter of god and touch the world in her own lil way. to fight dream love and go get. and just plain be happy where ever life takes her. and know that no matter what i have all these women that will also be there for her. Her Examples, Her name sakes

Shelly, you, my dear are an amazing woman! I hope you know that! You're whole 'article' (sorry, I don't blog...what are they called?) was incredible and gave me chills! I am so lucky to have ended up with you as a friend! You pushed me and influenced me more than you know! I'm flattered by the comments you made on our friendship, and hope you know that I view you in the same light! You are strong and independent, and at the same time you know how to open yourself to love and be loved by others! That's a tricky combination at times. You have a beautiful family my dear. Sorry I don't keep in touch as often as I should:( I hope all is going well, and above all, I hope you know I love you:)
