37 wks pregnant

I thought this was kinda neat and have gotten the e-mails my entire pregnancy from IVillage.com

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOU
Congratulations! Even though you are about three weeks from your due date, if your baby weighs over 5 1/2 pounds and you finish the 37th week, he or she is considered full term. In most cases, nothing will be done to stop your labor once it starts, and at this point you're probably counting the days until that's supposed to happen, according to your due date. Remember that only about 10 percent of babies are born on their due date -- including those with a one determined by ultrasound! Don't set yourself up for disappointment by concentrating heavily on the "magic" day.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY
Gaining half an ounce to one ounce each day, your baby is growing rapidly. At this stage, most are larger than 5 pounds, 8 ounces, and have enough fat stores to keep their temperature stable in the extra uterine environment. As strong as your baby is now, he's still susceptible to infection during delivery, so your health-care provider will give you a Strep B test this week (if he hasn't already). This bacteria is harmless in adults but can be very unhealthy for your baby, so it's best if it's caught before you go into labor.

I guess is should also give a lil update on us the dr says everything looks good. last wk i had some issues w. my pulse sky rocketing to the mid 100's. The dr said not to let it get past 90 agian or to go to the ER. The next day i had an appointment so he would check it then. at my appointment my blood pressure was the highest it had been my whole pregnancy but not out of the normal range. He mentioned he would watch me for Pregnancy induced hypertension but wasn't worried just told me to act like a 9 month preggo lady and to take it easy. The next day i started to get really bad headaches and body aches which is a sign of preclampsia, and of course this is all after business hrs. So i made a trek to L&D to have em check my bp. Everything looked good and the baby was super actice. i didn't even think that maybe it was stress giving me the headaches worrying about my bp and pulse. As soon as i realized i was making my self sick w. stress, and that everything was going to be fine, the next day i felt better and am back to thinking wow i feel great for being 9 months along (now if the nesting instinct would just kick in).
The Dr also said he thought our Lil princess will be about 7 lbs when she is born. My countdown is currently at 21 days til my due date, but w. my luck she will wait til Oct, i guess as long as i dont' go on my due date. Dayson says he doesn't mind sharing his birthday but i want them to ea. have thier own special day for mom to spoil em.

(as soon as Dayton gets home from hunting I'll have him take a pic and I'll post it)
